The Business Development Associate Position is an entry level position and provides support to the Business Development Department with guidance from the Director of Business Development in the sales and customer development relationship process. A Business Development Associate will be responsible for generating clients' data, solving day-to-day inquiries, answering emails, and other customer related interactions. A Business Development Associate must maintain a customer database effectively to enable the easy and speedy recovery of a given customer's details. Apart from handling established customer's details, a Business Development Associate also attracts new customers for the company through various promotional and advertising methods. Candidates must be comfortable using a CRM system, and have a passion for both marketing and business development. This position will enhance multiple skills and provide career development.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assist with data entry and maintenance of client development information in CRM and in SharePoint
  • Support administrative activities related to business development and marketing
  • Maintain list of conferences and events to support team in preparation
  • Compile sales pipeline reports as outlined by Director of Business Development ensuring deadlines are met
  • Produce weekly key performance indicators (KPI's) for the Business Development Department and managing director
  • Manage the follow up communication with clients through emails, telephone calls, and in person meetings
  • Respond to inquiries made by clients about company products and services in a timely and friendly manner
  • Act as link between the organization and the clients to ensure clients take more interest in products and services rendered by the business organization
  • Identify and communicate with new business leads for the organization over cold calls and other sales initiatives
  • Develop good knowledge regarding priority sectors, like market routes and trends; this enables the organization to improve on its effectiveness in service delivery
  • Provide required support for the organization's business development team, especially in activities relating to account management
  • Support the Director of Business Development in sales support when required by him/her
  • Travel and attend trade shows and conferences interacting with key groups in the healthcare industry
