HealthPro Medical Billing, Inc. of Lima, OH is seeking to hire a full-time Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Specialist to manage incoming data and process files across multiple client locations. Our EDI Specialists earns a starting competitive hourly rate of $12.00-$14.00 based on experience and qualifications. We offer a flexible work environment that encourages family-life/work balance.

A DAY IN THE LIFE AS AN EDI SPECIALIST

As an EDI Specialist, you process files, verify data, identify errors, and resolve data transfer issues to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient billing of patient accounts. You work failed or missing demographic information and claim rejects as notified by the Clearinghouse, communicate with external facilities and vendors about EDI issues, and research, update, and maintain information in the billing system. You also respond to and track payor audit requests, run operational reports, and verify fee schedules, physicians and insurance cross-overs. Your excellent attention to detail and organization skills are essential to your success. You enjoy being a part of our EDI team!

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Understanding of the billing process and terminology
  • Previous experience in EDI file processing preferred
  • Analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Certification or Associate's degree in related area of study preferred OR a minimum of 2 years medical billing experience

Healthcare industry experience preferred, but not required. Are you detailed oriented, organized and reliable? Do you have excellent communication and customer service skills? Are you determined to solve problems? If so, you may be perfect for this position!

 

WORK SCHEDULE

The typical schedule for this position is Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm or 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, hours are flexible.
