A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RADIOLOGY CODER
As a Radiology Coder, you assign CPT procedure codes and diagnostic (ICD-10) codes on all medical records, and as appropriate, MIPS and modifiers to CPTs to ensure proper billing and reimbursement. You review, as applicable, engine-assigned codes/modifiers and update as necessary, and review and/or assign patient severity of index illness ratings, supplemental codes, and other data. You compile and maintain logs, reports and statistical records, and research records to locate health data. You maintain knowledge of new and revised codes as well as industry regulations to complete accurate coding services, including local coverage determinations. You update reports for tracking workflow and trending and identify and track dictation opportunities. You are expected to meet and maintain productivity and quality goals.

WORK SCHEDULE
The typical schedule for this position is Monday through Friday working between the hours of 5:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. EST, scheduled hours are flexible.
