A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN IT MANAGER
As an IT Manager, you manage and improve IT department deliverables and services, ensure daily processes function efficiently and smoothly, manage projects and evaluate potential projects, collaborate with other departments to maximize revenue cycle management processes, optimize company performance metrics, and develop and maintain effective relationships with multiple internal and external contacts. You also develop, recommend, and implement new or revised technology-related policies, processes, and solutions, for improved workflow, quality, and business return on investment for the IT department and company overall.
You are responsible directly or through the team for the performance and monitoring of all information technology including network management, back-office server components, operational billing system, EDI processes and software, EDMS, business intelligence and data/report application management, development, & generation, etc., and telecommunication program and systems. You comply with the company's policies, procedures, and programs including Compliance, Security, and Disaster Recovery along with federal and state laws, regulations, and standards related to networking, telephony, internet, and medical billing principles. You keep abreast of innovative technology enhancements and solutions in the market and attend and participate in the company, client, or industry meetings, seminars, projects, and initiatives.
The typical department hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, but hours are flexible.
